Migdalia Quintana 

Migdalia Quintana is an artist from Puerto Rico. She lived in Oak Park, Illinois for six year (2014- 2020) and now is a new resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Biology from the University of Puerto Rico in Humacao. She's also a calligrapher, professional photographer, professor, public speaker and writer. She is the author of the book Cuando el Corazón Pinta (When the Heart Paints), a collection of some of her works of art, reflections, poetry and life lessons for lovers of art and inspirational reading. 

For 18 years she was a dedicated professional photographer and in 2000, became president of the Federation of Wedding Photographers of Puerto Rico, FFBPR, the same organization which awarded her the degree of Master Photographer for her achievements in photographic competitions. In the year 2003 she won the Prism Master award, being the only award given in this category of the competition.

She took art classes with art teachers in the Art League of Old San Juan in Puerto Rico along with private classes with other art teachers. The artist's style is figurative and her works primarily has women as the theme, using acrylic on canvas as a medium.
